ROP Homework

Shack, what my oldest known ancestor lived in. This was back in the 1800's. My mom said when she went down their this photo looked like what Daffany Coe shack looked like. This shack she lived in was in South Carolina.

This is a photo of slaves picking cotton in the fields. Daffany Coe worked very hard in the fields and she probably had a break in between, but if she didn't I would be very proud raising twelve kids and working.

The oldest ancestor in my family that I know of is a woman named Daffany Coe. Daffany Coe was born around the 1800's. She lived in South Carolina, born in slavery days. Daffany Coe had a daughter named Phyllis and her brother Donas had a Great Great Grand son named Allen who lived in Buffalo, New York who was a minister. Daffany Coe was a woman who lived to be one hundred nineteen years old. Daffany Coe had family in many places like South Carolina, North Carolina, Ohio. Boston was one of Daffany sons who lived in Ohio, some people called him Bossy Coe.

Daffany had twelve children. A few of the children names were Mary Coe, Donas Coe, Bossy Coe, Phyillis Coe, Abraham Coe, Isic Coe, and MarthaCoe. Isic and Abraham were twins as well as Martha and Mary. Daffany was a hard working lady. She was an amazing person who had long hair that went down to her back, gray and sometimes she would were white string to make it wavy. Daffany had never migrated to a different state, country or continent, Daffany always stayed in South Carolina.

I think learning about an oldest ancestor or my ancestor is very interesting because you can learn about different things you have never heard about before. Learning or even writing about Daffany Coe makes me think how hard working she was to her as well as all twelve of her children. I never heard about her until my great grandmother told me about this women.
